Thursday June 6, 2013 Day 5 Down Day due to weather

We were all set to head out this morning, but a last weather check -- waves forecast at 3-5 ft with a max of 7 ft -- forced a change of plans.  So we regrouped over breakfast at the Lighthouse Cafe --- great homemade rye bread toast!  Garry went back to Waterford to catch up on work (oh man!) while Doug, Jan and Jacque hit the hardware store, post office and grocery.  On our walk back we discovered the "Green Clean Bean" -- a combination coffee shop, WIFI hotspot complete with computers and printer, laundry facilities and showers!  It was all found in a renovated log home right off the main street a couple of blocks from the marina.
So Jan and Jacque spent a pleasant couple of hours blogging
with a large latte while doing our laundry.

What a concept!

Garry was finished with work by the time we got back so we decided to get out the bikes for their inaugural run.  Of course Doug, the tour guide, had a course in mind.  Little did we know the it was a 10 mile trip!!

We survived the first 10 mile jaunt!
After the bike ride, it was time for cocktails and dinner aboard Waterford (Jacque's famous chicken/artichoke/rice casserole).  After dinner, the skied cleared and we went out to enjoy a fabulous sunset.

Doesn't get better than this!

Good night!
